Figure 1.--There were changes in 1960 as well. The smocks are entirely gone. And most of the boys are wearing stripped "T"-shirts rather than collared shirts. Most of the boys wear short pants. We don't see any suspender shorts. We suspect that more boys wear shorts here is probably climate related. Click on the image to see the rest of the class.

There were changes in 1960 as well. The smocks are entirely gone. And most of the boys are wearing stripped "T"-shirts rather than collared shirts. Most of the boys wear short pants. We don't see any suspender shorts. We suspect that more boys wear shorts here is probably climate related. The portrait looks to be taken in a warmer time of the year than some of the earlier class portraits. We were a little surprised to see all the boys wearing shoes rather than sandals. We thought sandals sere very common in Italy.
