South African School Blazers: Prefects


Figure 1.-- At this South African school the headboy wears a blue rather than the maroon school blazer. Note the different ties the other prefects wear.

Generally speaking all the boys at a school wear the same color blazers. Some times school officers wear destinctive uniform outfits. Often prefects have badges or destinctive ties. We note one school wear the head boy wears a destinctive blazer. The school blazer is maroon, but the head boy wears a blue blazer. At some schools in other countries the prefects wore destinctive trim of some sort on their blazers. We do not know if this was also done in South Africa.
