Here we have an unidentified one-room school. All wee know for sure is that the school was in Texas. We do not know just where in Texas. The photograph was taken in 1907. The school wih the school marm at the door looks a bit like a barn. It is a bit difficult to mak out how they wre dressed. At a time in which knee pant were standard, lot of the boys look to weearing long pants. While boys in he city commonly wore knee pants, the prevalence in rural areas was much less common, especially for the older boys. The girls are all grouped together. They look to be wearing dresses, many with hair bows. The school looks like a fairly new structure. Notice all the pails. That is how children and workers brought their lunches to school and work. Notice the bike and horse. The year 1907 was just before Henry vFord unveiled the Model-T Tin Lizzie so you rarely see autombiles in rural areas until after 1908. Also you do not see any overalls.
