Scandinavian Boy: Boat Trip (1953)

Figure 1.-- We note the family on a boat. Perhaps this is how they traveled to to the camp they stayed at. We are not sure just where this boat ride ocucurred. It looks to us like a lake boat ride rather than an ocean going ship that went up the coast. The boy wears a long-sleeve shirt with khaki shorts and stripped ankle socks. Note his wrist watch.

We note the family on a boat. Perhaps this is how they traveled to to the wilderness camp they stayed at. `Or perhaps it was an activity available at the camp. I don't know much about Norwegian lakes. It can get quite chilly on open water, but the party here seems quite lightly dressed. Perhaps our readers will know more. We notice the same boys on the boat that were swimming together at camp. We are not sure just where this boat ride ocucurred. It looks to us like a lake boat ride rather than an ocean going ship that went up the coast. Norway doesn't have as many lakes as Sweden, but there are several, including a large lake north of Oslo. There are also fijords that cut deep into the country, many kilometers from the coast. The boy wears a long-sleeve shirt with khaki shorts and stripped ankle socks. Note his wrist watch.
