Boys' Historical Uniforms: No Seasonal Uniform Garments


Figure 1.--These French Scouts in 2000 do not have a winter uniform, but rather wear their various winter coats and other items over their uniforms.

Some groups do not have winter uniform uniforms. Often this is because they are located in tropical regions where there is only limited seasonal change. Other countries are located in areas where there is seasonal change, but the boys simply wear their own cold-wearher non-uniform items over their Scout or other youth group uniform. This is especially the case because many groups have more active summer tham winter programs.
