Uniforms of Boys' Youth Groups: Edelknabenkoenig


Figure 1.-- The boy who wins the shooting competitions is called the Edelknabenkoenig ( this means king ). The edelknabenkoenig has two assistants. They are choosed by the Edelknabenkoenig himself. The Edelknabenkoenig for 2002 from the Edelknabenkorps Kaarst 1951 is with his two assistents is pictured here. The King in this case looks to have a broken arm, but is clearly please with himself.

Some boys have uniforms covered with medals. The shooting competitions are held every Spring. The boy who wins is called the Edelknabenkoenig ( this means king ). The Edelknabenkoenig has two assistants. They are choosed by the Edelknabenkoenig himself. The Edelknabenkoenig for 2002 from the Edelknabenkorps Kaarst 1951 is with his two assistants is pictured here. Many of these boys are such excellent shots that they have won numerous medals whoch they proudly wear on their uniforms. They often also receive garlands of flowers.
