Various groups at the Jamboree organized entertainments. We note the American Scout band giving a concert. Scout bands seem popular in America through the 1950s, but we see less of them by the 1960s. I'm not sure how a Scout Band was formed for the World Jamboree. The drum suggests that the BSA provided at least some instruments. They probably then queried the boys who signed up for the Jamboree to find musicians. A trip to Europe for American Scouts was a major and very expensive undertaking in 1951. Most of the U.S. Scouts were older boys. The dark green shirts here indicate that they were Explorers.
