Tom: Boarding School Troop


Figure 1.--Here is a photograph of the Scout patrol at my boarding school. We were the ??? Patrol. The photograph was taken in 1952. Click on the image here to see medieval activities at the school.

While I was at boarding school I was active in the Scout-troop at the school. We too had many activities and many weekend-camping trips. The one thing we did not do, we did not organize a summer camp, as all the members of the school understandably wanted to remain at home during the summer. Here we see my boarding school Scout patrol in 1952 (figure 1). One aspect of Swiss Scouting was activities concerning medieval history. This was a popular activity in France and Germany as well.
