United Arab Emrirates Scout Uniforms: Garments

Figure 1.--UAE Cubs in 2000 wear similar shirts to the Scouts, but blue short pants. Caps do not seem to be very popular despite the strong sun in the UAE.

We note UAE Scouts wearing a variety of headwear in the 1950s-60s. The image here shows Scouts wearing a military-style field cap, ba beret, and Aran head gear. We zare unsure about the actual official regulations. Cubs wore a British-style peaked cap. We are not sure about the color it may have been blue. The 1950s-60s uniform had a shirt that looked to be kight-khaki. The modern uniform seems to have a similar light khaki shirt, but worn with light grey or teal panjts similar to British Scouts. The few images we have show Scouts wearing long trousers. The Cubs seem to wearr a similar light khaki shirtvwith short pants. We are not sure about the color in the 1950s-60s, but more recent images show dark blue shorts.
